[edit] History

The concept of Veteran Tickets Foundation was developed when Disabled Veteran Michael Focareto (US Navy) attended the 2008 Super Bowl in Phoenix, AZ. As the seat next to him went empty for the entire game, Focareto wondered why it had not been filled with one of the military members who presented down on the field before the game started. Focareto quickly formed a team of individuals who would help him carry out his mission. Staff members Chris Blindheim (Marine Corps), Butch Hogan (Army), Eddie Rausch, and Dwayne Somers run Vet Tix today.

In 2011, Veteran Tickets Foundation has given away over 156,000 FREE tickets (in 49 states) to deserving veterans, active duty service members and their families at a value over $5.4 Million. Since their inception, Vet Tix has given away over 306,000 tickets with an estimates face value of $9,713,632.00.
