Vicente Alcover

Vicente Alcover (1907–1953, Carcar, Cebu) was an educator and dramatist in the Visayan and Cebuano languages. He attended school in Minglanilla, Cebu, and earned a BSE degree from Southwestern University in Cebu City. He taught in public schools for two years, at the Southwestcoast College in Badian and the Barili Academy. He later served as principal–director of St. Peter's Academy in Alegria, teacher–principal at St. Thomas Academy in Surigao City, and as a councilor of the municipality of Carcar.
