Vijaya College is a reputed educational institution in Bangalore, Karnataka, India established in the year 1942, situated on R.V. Road, Basavanagudi. It is one of the oldest and important colleges in Bangalore offering courses in Arts, Sciences and Commerce, at the Pre University as well as Degree Level. Prof V.T. Srinivasan, Sri K. Lakshminarayana Rao, Sri K. Srinivasa Rao, Sri.C.R. Narayana Rao and others started this college. Prof V. T. Srinivasan was the Principal of this college from 1951-1972 and his daughter Late Mrs.V.T.Bhuvaneswari was Head of the Department of Physics. Unfortunately, IN the Website of the college the contribution of Prof.V.T.Srinivasan has been downplayed and Mrs.V.T.Bhuvaneswari's Contribution has been blacked out.Incidentally 15 th August 2013 was the birth centenary of Late Prof V. T. Srinivasan

The College was among the popular choices for Commerce studies. Numerous students have bagged ranks in both Pre University and in Degree examinations in the commerce stream from Vijaya College. Prof. K. R. Nayak, had been one of the most popular teachers in the college heading the Commerce department.
