Visitors to São Tomé and Príncipe must obtain a visa online or from one of the diplomatic missions of São Tomé and Príncipe in advance unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.

Citizens of the following 10 countries can visit São Tomé and Príncipe without a visa:[1]

Otherwise visa is obtained online through an eVisaST system.[2]

Visitors who have recently been to Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone are refused entry due to Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa.

Holders of diplomatic or service passports issued to nationals of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Taiwan do not require a visa for São Tomé and Príncipe. In addition holders of official or service passports issued to nationals of Cuba also do not require a visa for São Tomé and Príncipe.
