Vital Pharmaceuticals (VPX Sports), which distributes sports supplements under the brand name VPX, is a sports nutrition corporation located in Florida, United States. Its market consists principally of bodybuilders and other fitness enthusiasts. The company acknowledges that its products are generally more expensive than those of its competitors, but justifies this fact with claims of its products' superior quality.[1]

Among VPX's better-known products are Redline (a thermogenic), Black Pearl (marketed as a libido enhancer), "Bang" bars (protein bars containing five grams of creatine monohydrate), and the Zero Impact and Zero Carb dietary supplements.[2]

In 2008, CytoSport requested an injunction against VPX complaining about Muscle Power and halted the latter in 2009.[3]

On July 7, 2009, VPX issued a recall for Powdered Dietary Supplement, Stealth Chocolate and Stealth Vanilla because of possible salmonella.[4]
