A vocal group is a group of singers who sing and harmonize together with a backing band. Some groups do play some of their own instruments, but not all. Some of the most well-known of these groups include the Backstreet Boys, the Bee Gees, Crosby Stills & Nash, Earth, Wind & Fire, the New Kids on the Block,Peter, Paul and Mary, The Beach Boys, The Commodores, The Jackson Five, The Manhattan Transfer, The Pointer Sisters and The Supremes.
