W.J. Bryan Elementary School is a primary school located at 1201 N.E. 125th Street in North Miami, Florida. Its principal is Milagros L. Maytin and it is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools System. Its total enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year is 1352 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5.
Faculty, staff and students of Johnson & Wales University conduct tutoring and other programs at W.J. Bryan, including cooking classes and a Junior Achievement economic education program.[1]
The school was built in 1928 on the site where the Arch Creek Elementary School had burned down the year before.[2] The building is described by school officials as "a historical landmark".[3] It is named for turn-of-the-century political figure William Jennings Bryan.
