WRXR-FM (105.5 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Rossville, Georgia, USA, broadcasting to the Chattanooga, Tennessee, area. WRXR broadcasts an active rock music format branded as "Rock 105". WRXR was the second station in Chattanooga to start broadcasting in HD radio. Previously the call letters were used for a classic rock station in Chicago. That station became smooth jazz WNUA.

Before moving to WDEF-FM in the early 1990s, Danny Howard worked at WLMX "Lite Mix 105", a gold-based adult contemporary station[1].
On September 15, 1999, Cumulus Broadcasting changed WLMX to "Rock 105, The Rock of Chattanooga". Sammy George, Cumulus market mananger, described the new active rock format as "radio with an attitude." Artists included Metallica, Pearl Jam, AC/DC and Nirvana. Programming also included NASCAR and Lex and Terry in the morning.[citation needed] The other Cumulus stations at that time were WUSY, WKXJ, WLOV, and WLMX-AM.[2][3]
