Waitara is a railway station on the CityRail network in Sydney servicing the suburb of Waitara, a small suburb to the east of Hornsby's CBD.

Waitara railway station in 1907

Waitara opened as a single platform in 1895. The North Shore line was later duplicated and the station was rebuilt as an island platform.

The station is served by four trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.
