"Warning" is a song by American punk rock band Green Day. It is the second single and title track from their sixth album, Warning.
Billie Joe Armstrong has said that the original concept was to create a song whose lyrics were made up of all signs and labels, and the idea grew from there.
The song was a number three modern rock hit in the US and entered the Billboard Hot 100. The song also made it into the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart in the UK.

[edit] Music video
The music video for Warning premiered on MTV in January 2001. It was directed by Francis Lawrence and shows the life of a man (Whose punch-in card reveals his name to be John Earle) who does trivial but dangerous things during his day. The list of dangerous things he does is:
- Ripping the 'Do Not Remove' label off his matress
- Applying soap and shampoo in his eyes
- Swallowing his toothpaste
- Running with scissors
- Drinking curdled milk
- Leaving his appliances on before leaving the house
- Staring into the sun
- Driving while talking on a cell phone and drinking coffee (subsequently driving with his knees and running a red light)
- Eating a large meal before going swimming
- Eating food off the floor
- Running laps around the pool
- Obscuring his car windshield, leaving his keys in the ignition, and leaving the driver's door open as he checks into work
- Taking multiple doses of cold medicine before working with heavy machinery
- Eating a candy bar while working in a factory
- Hitting on a female coworker
- Running across multiple lanes of heavy traffic
- Buying an out-of-date gas station burrito
- Crossing a police line and walking through the middle of a police shoot out
- Microwaving the burrito in its original packaging
- Pressing his face onto the microwave as the burrito is cooking
- Operating heavy equipment (a crane) while drowsy
- Suspending equipment over other workers
- Running in the middle of the road with traffic at night while wearing dark clothing
- Accepting candy from a stranger
- Throwing a candy wrapper on the ground
