Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume 2) is an album by XTC. It is the second volume of the Apple Venus set. The album was originally intended to just be called Apple Venus Volume Two however, at the request of the record company it was inserted into the subtitle of another title.[citation needed] It was released on Cooking Vinyl/Idea Records on 23 May 2000.

It reached No. 108 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart,[citation needed] No. 2 on the CMJ Adult Album Alternative chart in the United States,[citation needed] and No. 6 on the Indie Albums chart in the UK.[citation needed]

To date, Wasp Star is the last studio album released by the group. This album was the first album featuring only Partridge and Moulding as XTC. Partridge's daughter Holly made her singing debut on record singing backup vocals in the song "Playground"; she now sings and plays guitar in the English pop-rock group The SheBeats.

In 2002 XTC released an instrumental version of the album entitled Waspstrumental.
