Waubra is a town in Victoria, Australia, 33 kilometres (21 mi) north west of Ballarat. At the 2006 census, Waubra and the surrounding area had a population of 494.[1]

Waubra was known as The Springs until around 1888. The Post Office opened on 20 April 1860 as The Springs and was renamed Waubra in 1889.[2]

The town was served by a Victorian Railways 5' 3" (1600mm) gauge branchline which opened in October 1888.[3] In 1931, passenger services were withdrawn and the line continued as a "goods only" line through to its closure in January 1968.
