Weekday

A weekday is any day of the week except Sunday and often also Saturday.[1][2][3]

In countries with a six-day workweek (including all countries in the past), the weekdays are the same as the workdays (workdays). In countries with a five-day workweek, the term weekday sometimes has the old meaning "all days except Sunday" and sometimes refers to "all days except Saturday and Sunday".

Weekday may also be erroneously used to refer any of the days of the week.

In most countries, the days of the workweek are:

  1. Monday
  2. Tuesday
  3. Wednesday
  4. Thursday
  5. Friday

Many timetables are different on weekdays, such as radio and television schedules, parking restrictions, and shop opening hours.
