Weekday

A weekday is any day of the week except Sunday and often also Saturday.[1][2][3]

Thus for those who understand "weekday" to include Saturdays, the term is not necessarily synonymous with "workday".

Weekday is sometimes confused with calendar day, which is any of the days of the week.

In most countries, the days of the workweek are:

  1. Monday
  2. Tuesday
  3. Wednesday
  4. Thursday
  5. Friday

Many timetables are different on weekdays and/or on workdays, such as radio and television schedules, parking restrictions, and shop opening hours.
