The Wellington Lacrosse Open is an annual lacrosse tournament hosted by the Wellington Lacrosse Association. Entry is open to men's, women's and mixed lacrosse teams throughout New Zealand.
The inaugural, and most recent Open was held over the weekend of 26-27 January 2008, featuring Women's, Mixed and Men's Lacrosse games, as well as an exhibition game by the New Zealand National Woman's Team.
The event is notable as the first, and presently only, national lacrosse tournament operating in New Zealand including teams from every regional lacrosse administration body. As such, the champion of the Wellington Open can unofficially claim the title of New Zealand Champion by default. However, since the senior men's tournament was contested by only two teams, with the competition resulting in a tie, no national champion has currently been crowned.
