[edit] Family

Wendy has been married since 1998 to Dr. Joe O'Toole, an interventional cardiologist. They have five sons: Michael who was born in 2000 and goes to St. Bede and is currently in the 6th grade, Jack who was born in 2001 and is in the 4th grade, who also goes to St. Bede. Ryan who was born in 2005 and is in Kindergarten at St. Bede, as well, and twins Christopher and Bobby born in 2008 and currently attend Preschool at St. Bede, also. The twins were born premature, thus causing a strange maternity leave for Bell.

[edit] Awards

Wendy has won 9 Emmy Awards,[citation needed] a National Headliner Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards for a story that tested the politeness of everyday Pittsburghers. She transformed her appearance and posed as an 80-year-old woman to see if people would come to the aid of an elderly lady in need. [1]

In 2009 Wendy Bell was nominated for a "Live with Regis and Kelly" contest where she would be able to appear as a guest host for a day. The Contest was called "Live's From Local-to-Live Co-Host for a Day Search".
