This is a complete list of appearances by members of the professional playing squad of West Ham United F.C. during the 2005-2006 season, in which they made a strong return to the Premier League following promotion and finished ninth.
They almost claimed their first major trophy since 1980 when they reached the FA Cup final and took a 2-0 lead against Liverpool in the first half, and despite a fightback by Liverpool, West Ham had a 3-2 lead with 90 minutes showing on the clock, only for Liverpool's Steven Gerrard to equalise one minute into injury time and force extra time. With the scores still level at the end of extra time, the match went to penalties and Liverpool won the game.
