[edit] 2009 Circuit

WTXG released a flyer, announcement to the West Texas community stating that March '09 will be the first official kick off. It is not known how many competitions will be held by WTXG at the moment.[citation needed]

[edit] Coverage Area

West Texas is the announced coverage area[2][unreliable source?]. This area includes several cities including San Angelo, Lubbock, Abilene, Eastland, Dallas, etc. The area has several media outlets, universities, and other sources of traffic for the gamer population. The winning team will go to a MLG Pro event in Dallas[3].

[edit] Supported Games

WTXG supports all games with no exclusion to genre, console, or rating. With the diverse audience it is stated on the official website that only supporting one or two games would hurt the attractiveness of the competitions.[citation needed] The website also says that Halo 3 will be the introductory game for WTXG to see how the community responds and build a fan base.[citation needed] In the future games like World of Warcraft, Gears of War, Guitar Hero, etc... will be added to the supported games.[citation needed]

WTXG has been seen at local gaming events such as the recent TSTC Rez'D tournament on November 8 and 9th.[4][unreliable source?] According to recent posts in the WTXG Community forums they have intentions to attend Computer Stop's San Angelo events[5]

and local tournaments held by Gamerz Dome[6].
