Weston, Illinois was a community in Batavia Township, Kane County, Illinois, near Batavia, which was voted out of existence by its village board, in order to provide a site for the National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), which was selected by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission on December 16, 1966.[1]
