Not to be confused with What's Love

"What’s Luv?" is a single by rapper Fat Joe featuring singer Ashanti & Ja Rule on the chorus. The single peaked at #4 in the UK, and peaked and stayed for five weeks at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on April 20, 2002. It was Ashanti's second top ten single, Fat Joe's first and Ja Rule's seventh. The single helped make Ashanti the first female artist to simultaneously occupy the top two positions on the Hot 100. From April 20 to May 18, 2002, "Foolish" and "What’s Luv?" were at #1 and #2 respectively. The song also reached #1 on the Rap Songs chart.[1]

The beat samples the 2Pac song "Niggaz Nature", and the song's chorus interpolates the Tina Turner song "What's Love Got to Do with It".

The song is also featured in the 2002 movie Juwanna Mann.

The video was filmed in Fordham University.

Ja Rule and Fat Joe would later collaborate on the 2004 song "New York", which earned Fat Joe an attack by Ja's rival 50 Cent in that rapper's 2005 song "Piggy Bank".
