White Nicaraguans or European Nicaraguans are Nicaraguans whose ancestry lies within the continent of Europe, most notably Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Germany (includes Poles due to Partitions of Poland), Italy and Portugal.
As of 2013, Nicaraguans of solely White ancestry are a minority ethnic group in Nicaragua, accounting for 17% of the country's population. An additional 69% of the population is mestizo, having mixed indigenous and European ancestry. By the 19th century, Nicaragua counted on central European immigration, mostly from Germany, England and the United States, which were mixed with Nicaraguan women. The Germans were bestow land of coffee in Matagalpa, as in Jinotega and Esteli, although most Europeans settled in San Juan del Norte. However, the country towards since to the eighteenth century Nicaragua had a colony of pirates from England, France and Holland in Buesfield (Mosquito Coast).
