Really, this article is a travesty. Just making it of decent quality, not necessarily GA, will get you this bounty, but of course if you want to make it GA or even FA, don't let me stop you!

Transwiki watchlist tool[edit]

Amount: $50 USD Bounty offerer MrZaiustalk 11:12, 15 May 2009 (UTC) (Anyone else want in? Surely I'm not the only one who'd want this.) Expiration date Projected retirement date, ~2038 - Maximum of a single payout. Notes: Develop an open-source, web-based tool or mediawiki extension allowing for aggregating watchlists from multiple sites accessible from the tool's host (ie, a corporate intranet). Preexisting stand-alone client side tools and/or browser extensions are unacceptable solutions to this problem due to security reasons and lack of portability. While it would be acceptable for the watchlist tool to be limited in scope to Wikimedia projects, it would be much preferred if it were able to also parse Wikia and unaffiliated hosts's watchlists. Bonus! $15 extra for a tool that mimicks popups with tools in a host-neutral manner.

Done

Introducing Watchlistr - a transwiki watchlist tool. It can parse any mediawiki-based wiki, but currently only includes the Wikimedia projects (because I'm not sure what other wikis would be good to include). Does not currently mimic Popups, but it's only in Beta (so that might be a future addition). I'm still doing some testing on it, so you might encounter some error messages here and there — tell me if you come across any. Also, let me know if there's anything else you would like added to it.

Notes
Any country of any continent, I'm flexible. I'm also willing to take a fairly lenient definition of 'country', so microstates etc. are fair game. Ask me if you're unsure. Soo 01:41, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Looks like Turkey and Germany, made it. Is there going to be another matching period during the fund drive? I'll sign up for two more with the same deadline. Going to change the paramaters a bit and put this back up. Dalf | Talk 22:58, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

After a very long absence, I am back and have restarted the bot. Initial tests are now underway. I will post another update when the bot is running full time. --ThaddeusB (talk) 01:15, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Suburban Express[edit]

Amount
US$300 donation to the Wikimedia Foundation or any legitimate charity (ie 501c3 status would be seen as an indication that charity is legitimate), but only to the extent that such an outside donation is permissible under Wikipedia rules.
Bounty Offerer
User:Suburban Express President
Revised Expiration
2013-11-15 at 00:00 UTC
Note

I apologize if I am misunderstanding any element of this process or of Wikipedia rules in general. If so, please advise. The company I own, Suburban Express, has recently received negative "press", mostly in the form of blog postings criticizing our company for a tangled mess of issues. They can more or less distilled down to: 1) Criticism for pursuing cheaters. Some feel that using lawsuits to pursue debtors is somehow unfair to innocent little college students. But collection agencies want nothing to do with the small debts customers create for themselves. 2) Criticism for the manner in which a particular driver handled a foreign student. 3) Company reaction to false and defamatory information posted on a blog called Reddit.

These three issues have been mashed into one, and a handful of people are really fired up and doing everything they can to maximize damage to the reputation of Suburban Express. "Tech Blogs", which seem to have a vested interest in fanning flames to earn clicks and generate attention, have also worked hard to exploit the situation.

At this time, the Suburban Express article is chock full of inaccurate citations. By that, I mean that the article might say, "Suburban Express likes green eggs and ham" and cite Article A. But examination of Article A reveals that there is no such quote in Article A.

Also, the article lacks balance. Much of the quoted material is negative, and the Suburban Express "side" of the story has been left out. For instance, there are "admissible" quotes which discuss the types of situations which lead to collection suits (ie passengers printing multiple copies of one ticket and thereby stealing rides), but these either do not appear in the article, or they are immediately removed -- leaving one side of the story.

A $150 bounty is offered for syncing up the article with the cited articles, by removing statements which are not supported by the cited articles or by removing citations, and defending the article against re-posting of bad citations for 60 days.

A $150 bounty is offered for restoring reasonable balance to the article and maintaining same for 60 days.

The expiration date is indicative of the date by which I would like to see repairs made. The bounty would be paid 60 days thereafter and bonus bounty would be paid 6 months thereafter.

Again, if anything above is inappropriate, please advise this newbie.

While I did not accept this offer, please see Wikipedia_talk:Neutrality_cabal#Paid_editing. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 15:38, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

User:SDY
Expiration

Note
There is already a substantial article which I've spent some time with, but I'm too much of a WP:Wikisloth to actually truck it through the FA process. The 14th is a relevant day (World Blood Donor Day) so requesting this as a FA on that particular day is not arbitrary or ridiculous.

Expiration
April 2006

One of the aspects of centuries-old history that seems likely to be lost completely in 100 years, if there aren't continuing efforts to document it - as the internet is becoming the medium of choice for much research and documentation, and WP leads that, seems like a valid idea.

An African country[edit]

Amount
UK £15.00 (currently about USD $25).
Offered by
Matt Crypto
Expiration
1 May 2006 (if anyone wants this deadline extended because they plan to work, or have started work, on an article, then I'm very happy to do so).
You know, it's criminal that there are so few articles on African subjects. I'll do what I can, though my expertise is limited to some specific cases... I'll see what I can do (guinea-bissau, for example...). Pinkville 01:24, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Notes
One bounty offered for a featured article on an African country article; that is, any of Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia or Zimbabwe. (I can only commit to a bounty for one such article for the present; whichever is featured first.)

Political parties from least developed countries[edit]

Amount
£25 UK (about $40) an article, to a max of 2 articles
Bounty offerer
OpenToppedBus
Expiration date
June 1 2006 (can almost certainly be extended for anything you're working on at that date).
Notes
This bounty applies to any article on a political party from one of the least developed countries. I'm happy to apply a reasonably broad definition of "political party" - electoral alliances and coalitions qualify, though I would probably exclude something like the Alliance of Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Congo which was more of a military alliance, unless it could be shown to have had candidates standing in an election. Ask me if you're not sure.

Rapid transit systems[edit]

Amount
£5 UK (about $8) an article, to a max of 5 articles
Bounty offerer
OpenToppedBus
Expiration date
June 1 2006
Notes
Any article on a rapid transit system. Excludes, of course, London Underground, Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore) and MTR, which are already featured. An additional discretionary bonus may be paid if the article is on a system outside the industrialised west. --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 12:49, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I'd never heard of this until I stumbled upon it, but now I want to hear more. A major event in US labor history, similar in importance to the Peterloo massacre in the UK. I've expanded it a lot from a single paragraph, but there's a long way to go.
