Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen

This page was originally for listing cut and paste moves which could not be repaired due to a then-extant technical limitation. The limitation has since been removed, but this page is still available if you find a cut-and-paste move, and are not able to repair it yourself (there is a procedure for doing it, but 1. only admins can do it, and 2. it's a bit tricky).

Currently the only technical limitation is that category and file description pages can't be moved.

The procedure

• Place a {{histmerge|NAME OF PAGE THE ARTICLE WAS CUT FROM}} template at the new location of the article which has been moved through cut and pasting, i.e. on the article where the pasting was done.
• If the issue is clear-cut (straight up cut and paste move to a better title), having this speedy delete tag on the page should be enough. In more complex cases (explained at Wikipedia:How to fix cut and paste moves), please leave a description of the problem under the "Repair requests" section.
• An admin will look the pages over and perform whatever tasks are necessary.
• Once this is done, the admin will post the result here.
• Old requests will be removed after 30 days.

• Please merge Template:Lord High Togneme's history into Template:Gom. The earliest revision of Template:Gom can be deleted, as it is an old redirect that would have been overwritten if Template:Lord High Togneme had been properly moved to Template:Gom. For a short while, the two templates had parallel histories. The last significant edit to Template:Lord High Togneme was at 04:32, 9 March 2012‎ (UTC). The revisions after that time do not need to be kept, except for the most recent revision, which should be left at Template:Lord High Togneme (this is just a redirect to Template:Gom). The old article history ended in 2009, the new article started in 2011 so there is no overlapping history.
