  • A poll is up at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Ireland_Collaboration/Poll on Ireland (xxx). This is a vote on what option or options could be added in the poll regarding the naming of the Ireland and Republic of Ireland and possibly the Ireland (disambiguation) pages. The order that the choices appear in the list has been generated randomly. Sanctions for canvassing, forum shopping, ballot stuffing, sock puppetry, meat puppetry will consist of a one-month ban, which will preclude the sanctioned from participating in the main poll which will take place after this one. Voting will end at 21:00 (UTC) of the evening of 1 July 2009 (that is 22:00 IST and BST). -- Evertype· 18:13, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
  • I've created a new navbox template for places in County Fermanagh, based on ideas in {{County Armagh}} and a few other ROI counties' templates. It's here: {{County Fermanagh}} – perhaps it'd be worth making similar navboxes for the other NI counties? Fattonyni (talk) 20:58, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
  • A call to arms on Norn Iron user for the article pastie which some want to delete and redirect to the Cornish pasty page. We need expansion and references for this article. Come rally round this most unique of Northern Irish food stuffs. Canterbury Tail talk 21:19, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

  • The article on the Titanic is currently undergoing a peer review on its Featured Article status. It looks as though it's going to fail and be de-listed. The article needs help primarily, it seems, with de-POVing weasel wording and citations. see Wikipedia:Featured article review/RMS Titanic --Mal 22:54, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
  • The {{Northern Ireland tasks}} template has been updated with dozens of articles in need of creation. Please take a look at the list. Add to it if necessary. --Mal 14:25, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
  • I have noticed that all the disruptions caused by the politically-motivated moves in Wikipedia against the usage of the flag of Northern Ireland, have been frozen at a point which appears to favour one particular political pov. See here. --Mal 09:47, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Several Troubles categories listed for deletion/renaming here. Stu ’Bout ye! 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi, I've noticed Vacuum newspaper has been nominated for deletion - for those who dont know it, its a satirical newspaper from Belfast, so I would ask experienced wikipedians to weigh in and help the article out a bit. I've suggested grouping it with related articles - but as a bit of a newcomer to this all, I dont know how to do that. Can anyone help??
    • "The result of the debate was delete". Shame. Please keep an eye out for any resulting orphans. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 17:28, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
The result of the debate was rename/merge as nominated Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Derry to Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Londonderry

  • Some recently-started articles on schools in Northern Ireland are being nominated for deletion. Please add your votes and/or comments regarding the proposal. --Mal 01:08, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
  • New {{NI-bio-stub}} created today as per this request. Can someone check if I created it correctly? This will mean a fair amount of work to change NI biography stubs currently tagged with the {{NI-stub}} tag, and others tagged with {{Ireland-bio-stub}}. Stu ’Bout ye! 15:05, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Belfast has been successful as the Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography's collaboration of the month. For anyone who's interested in helping to get the article up to FAC standard, there are many resources and a guide available on the UK Geography Project page. --Mal 01:58, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

  • There is currently a revert war going on with the article Constituent Countries with two issues - one relating specifically to Northern Ireland. --Mal 06:23, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
  • There is a need to improve articles on Northern Irish politicians. I have added succession boxes to a number of them but, in doing so, I noticed thre were a number of politicians missing. One glaring example off-hand is Brid Rogers (as I'm aware this is how her name is spelled.. not Rodgers - please verify). Many others are merely stubs.
    • The article Brid Rodgers has now been created. Having looked through the SDLP's website, I confirmed that Rodgers is the correct spelling of her surname! --Mal 14:08, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
