RefToolbar is a JavaScript tool that adds an extra button to the editing toolbar for commonly used citation templates. It was changed from an option to a feature on February 25, 2011 and is no longer available as a gadget selection. It comes in three versions, depending on settings at My preferences → Editing  → Usability features.

How to use

To use the reftoolbar click on "Cite" in the editing interface. This will give you the option to cite web pages, news, books, or journals. If you have an ISBN for a book or a PMID or DOI for a journal article, the tool will fill in the rest of the details for the reference.
