This page is for requesting that a page, image or template be fully protected, create protected (salted), semi-protected, move-protected, or unprotected. Please read up on the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection is usually used only to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. After a page has been protected, the protection is listed in the page history and logs with a short description indicating why it was protected, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. Further discussion should take place on the Talk page of the article. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins do not revert back to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.
If you would like to request a page to be protected or unprotected, please follow the following steps:
===={{la|Example Article Name}}====
'''Semi-protection:''' High level of IP vandalism. ~~~~
===={{lt|Example Template Name}}====
'''Temporary semi-protection:''' High level of IP vandalism. ~~~~

[edit] Pretty Little Liars (season 2) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – A lot of ips recently. Bobherry talk -- Hi!! 21:36, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] George Harrison (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Per this discussion, a quick-hopping IP is edit warring over his unsourced, undiscussed changes. Radiopathy •talk• 18:41, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Blond (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection. How to explain. It's not so much vandalism as such. It's turning into an IP convention putting in their favorate celebrities or adding/removing content many times a day. I've been following this for over a year and now I can't even be bothered to check anymore - and I don't see other editors going in there. Would be nice to stabilize for a few months. SlightSmile 17:30, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] DXAB (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Anon user using different IP addresses adds unsourced information on this article since February. Anon also quickly reverts to his version after the article is restored to a cleaner version. -WayKurat (talk) 16:59, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] DYAB (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Anon user using different IP addresses adds unsourced information on this article since February. Anon also quickly reverts to his version after the article is restored to a cleaner version. -WayKurat (talk) 16:59, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

One year semi-protection: unending assorted IP school kid vandalism. Span (talk) 16:56, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Survivor: One World (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Repeated addition of un-sourced information. . Intoronto1125TalkContributions 16:05, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Nick Zoricic (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: - IP vandalism.--BabbaQ (talk) 14:32, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] 2011–12 Arsenal F.C. season (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection Repeated addition of copyright Premier League fixtures on the page from unregistered/multiple IPs, despite repeated warnings and reverts. The article was semi-protected more than once previously in the last three months, but the edits have since continued once the article was unprotected again. Batram (talk) 11:51, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected — Three months. If this question is raised again (about the copyright of Premier League fixtures) I suggest asking for comment at one of the copyright noticeboards to be sure you are correct. EdJohnston (talk) 23:42, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] The Sopranos (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry. Repeated deletion of sourced material by new editors. Persistent vandalism. I have had help from the Wikipedia:Cleanup Project (since February 25) and I should welcome your help in maintaining this article. Thank you, Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 11:06, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Kastrioti family (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – Activity of banned user (partial list of socks; also active Skanderbeg that was semi-protected too). — ZjarriRrethues — talk 09:00, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected — Two weeks by User:Eustress. EdJohnston (talk) 23:18, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] The Family Murders (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection. Repeated deletion of sourced material by new editors 59.167.130.76, Todmanave and Rvoight. Rvoight claims as justification in Talk that (1) we cant use a newspaper as a source for what the police claim, (2) the claims are inaccurate (has declined a request to provide a source for this), (3) as no charges have been laid, the article can not say how the police believe the suspects (who are not named in article) are involved and (4) that inclusion of the claims would upset the victims' families. Wayne (talk) 05:47, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected — One month. EdJohnston (talk) 18:29, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] 2011–2012 Syrian uprising (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Long-term vandalism. Article is also in ITN. -- Luke (Talk) 01:01, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected — One month. Unsourced changes by IPs. EdJohnston (talk) 18:04, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Current requests for unprotection
If you simply want to make spelling corrections or add information to a protected page that is not disputed, and you are not involved in any disputes there, consider simply adding {{Editprotected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. See the list of current {{Editprotected}} requests.
If you want an existing page unprotected, please try to ask the protecting admin first before making a request here.
Check here if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
[edit] True Religion (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Unprotection: Notable brand of clothing with several Google news hits: [1] . Tinton5 (talk) 23:01, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Current requests for edits to a protected page
- Ideally requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add {{Editprotected}}, {{Editsemiprotected}} or {{Request edit}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both locked, this project page is the right place to request an edit. If you can, please use the {{la|article name}} template to describe the article you wish changed at the start of your request.
[edit] Fulfilled/denied requests
[edit] Nanking Massacre (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Shortly after the article was released from temporary protection, the same I.P. hopper from Adelaide, Australia has resumed edit warring again by deleting cited material and claiming the BBC is not a valid, reliable source of news. Request a one month reprieve to see if it will cool down the situation. Other I.P. vandals are also involved due to the graphic nature of the material. HarryZilber (talk) 13:13, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of 1 month. After 1 month the page will be automatically unprotected. Materialscientist (talk) 13:52, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Wii Sports (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
