Issues to be mediated[edit]

The party filing this request uses this section to list the issues for mediation. Other parties can list additional issues in the section below.
  • Deciding on a common understanding of Wikipedia's policy of balance and NPOV presentation of various scholarly sources: should one scholarly interpretation prevail, or should we present in a balanced way the major scholarly opinions on a given subject.
  • Deciding which sources are reliable secondary sources, and which are not (example: back cover of a book, medieval historians, author interview, etc.)
  • Deciding if or how to best split this article into manageable sections, WP:SUMMARY style

Additional issues to be mediated[edit]

Other parties can use this section to list any others issues they wish to include in the mediation. Please do not modify or remove any other party's listing. Please sign all additions to this section if there is more than two parties involved in this case.

Note: I purged the issue list in line with the agreement (see notes on talk page). I was confident in my action with all but one - "Deciding how many and what type of primary source quotes should be used" - as I couldn't work out from PHG's comments if this was to be included or excluded. Please enlighten the Committee on the talk page to this effect.
