[edit] Status of proceedings
The open tasks template lists a status for each case, which is set in the following way by the chairman during his periodic review of the committee's business:

Possible options include:

Active
For cases that are active, have a mediator assigned, and are being mediated normally.

Review
For cases that have been placed on temporary hiatus pending an internal review of the case. Cases are placed on review at the request of the mediator, if he wants to solicit input from the other mediators on the case, or in response to other circumstances, for instance the topic-banning of another party.

Stale
For cases in which there is little active discussion. Stale cases are usually reviewed by the chairman, if the mediator and the parties inactive, or by the mediator, if the mediator is active but one or more parties are not. Stale cases can be closed, per the mediation policy, without prejudice to a request for a new case.

Unknown
Statuses must be declared manually by a member of the committee, so new cases will display an 'unknown' status.
If there are two co-mediators, the following template should be used instead:
