The article List of phobias is not deleted, so this isn't something we can help with here. I'd suggest reading Wikipedia:External links, then discussing your changes at Talk:List of phobias or with the editor(s) who are reverting your additions to try and form a consensus. Tattoo Rodeo[edit]

Article was deleted by speedy deletion. This is the first article I created and it may not have been sufficiently wikified. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Esperanzawalker (talkcontribs)

I've left a message for the deleting admin, Seraphimblade (talk · contribs).--Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:30, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not seeing a claim that the band recorded two albums on a major label, it's not stated who their first one was recorded with. It's stated that the second (rather unsuccessful) one was recorded on BMG. If that's an assertion of significance, it's awfully thin. I've no objection to recreation if the band did receive substantial coverage in reliable sources. Seraphimblade Talk to me 01:07, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So, to sum up for Esperanzawalker, perhaps your best course is to make a version of the page as a subpage of your userpage, say at User:Esperanzawalker/Tattoo Rodeo. (If you'd like the previous version moved there as a starting point, make a request here or at my talk page). Read WP:MUSIC to see what the article needs, and when you think it's ready for prime time, post a request for feedback at WP:FEED. HTH. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:16, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Industrial Revolution[edit]

User:Jclemens deleted this article, claiming that it was an "exhortation" and not based on something that was actually happening. I believe that this was an arbitrary decision, and was made without following the proper protocal for deletion of an article. He waited only two days prior to deletion of the page, contrary to the deletion policy. This article withstood scrutiny and had meaningful contributions for over a year. I think that his deletion was arbitrary and borders on censorship of ideas.

Although the movement is right now in its infancy, one need only do a simple google search for "new industrial revolution" to find hundreds are hits relating to news, books, and other media on the subject. I think that the article was aptly named, as that is what the commentators and writers are calling it. I had several redirect pages for other names, such as Green economic revolution, Next Industrial Revolution, etc.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

~ * ~ Blue Lunar Storm ~ * ~ (talk) 22:20, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a couple of quick fact corrections here. The article was proposed for deletion on November 11, 2009 at 10:51 by 208.54.83.49 (talk · contribs), who was the one who called it an exhortation. Jclemens (talk · contribs) deleted it on November 18, 2009 at 18:02, just over 7 days later, fully in line with policy. The deletion reason you see after Jclemens is automatically picked up by the deletion, and was not written by Jclemens. (Also, WP:CIVIL might be an educational read.)
I've restored the article as a contested prod. However, it can still be taken to AfD; I'd strongly suggest posting a request for feedback at WP:FEED to get some ideas on ways to improve the sourcing. HTH. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:21, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I didn't know all of the background, as that information wasn't available to me on the WP:PROD. I think I may be able to enlist some help on this article. I really do appreciate you reinstating the article, as just last night I heard mention of the "New Industrial Revolution" on a tv news broadcast. So, this is not an exhortation and it is something that is currently happening. Thank you for having an open mind. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to allow a movement to be written about. ~ * ~ Blue Lunar Storm ~ * ~ (talk) 23:38, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

mugard[edit]

The Wiki for MuGard was deleted on November 24, 2009 by Jinian for being “Unambiguous advertising or promotion.” The article was not written for marketing purposes, but rather to educate chemotherapy or radiation patients who are seeking treatments for oral mucositis, a common side effect of cancer therapies. The sources that were cited throughout the Wiki for MuGard were credible, ranging from scientific publications to news releases and corporate Web sites belonging to the developer of the product.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Intellibridgeir (talkcontribs)

Not done This isn't a deletion we can unilaterally restore here. However, you have several options open to you. You can ask the deleting admin, Jinian (talk · contribs) to reconsider his decision. If you can't come to some understanding with Jinian, and you feel the speedy deletion was out of process, you can ask for a review at WP:DRV (but talk to Jinian first; if you don't, your request will be kicked out). Or, you can ask for a copy of the page to be moved to a subpage of your userpage, such as at User:Intellibridgeir/MuGard, where you can work on it to make it less like an advert. If you choose that option, be sure to get some feedback at WP:FEED before moving it to article space, or you run the risk of another quick deletion. Andre Begin page deletion[edit]

While in the midst of adding cited sources, our page was deleted. We would like to request our article to be undeleted.

Rob McDowall[edit]

I am completely confused. This page was deleted before as the 'admins' decided that the person was not worthy. I am so annoyed that having taken time to write this, the same admin feels that he can justify deleting it! I would like this to be undeleted.

I'm sorry you're annoyed, but this isn't something we can help you with here. The article was first deleted as a result of the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rob McDowall, and then deleted as being substantially the same article as was first deleted. If you think either of these deletions were incorrect, first talk it over with the deleting admin, then if you can't resolve the issue, take it to deletion review. Be sure to talk it over with the deleting admin first, because if you don't DRV will kick it out. HTH!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:42, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Willis[edit]

This page has been deleted. The deletion and move log for the page are provided below for reference.

11:11, 31 May 2009 Spellcast (talk | contribs) deleted "Harry Willis" ‎ (Deleted because expired WP:PROD; Reason given: Unsubstantiated fiction with no references that I can find.)

I am a ex-employee of PGL in France. I worked there in the 1980's and the legend of Harry Willis was already well known when I got there (1983). I recently went to a reunion of ex-PGL employees and we were all talking about him. Someone mentioned that he had been mentioned in Wikipedia so I searched for him and found he had been deleted, although there are links to him from at least 2 other entries (PGL and the Ardeche river).

There are literally thousands of people who know of Harry Willis. Many people have photographs of "him" hanging on a cliff in the Ardeche. He may not be documented in any official literature but that does not make him any less a fictional character than "Harry Potter", any of Terry Pratchett's creations, "Lily of the West", "tooth fairy", Santa or any other fictional, mythical or folklore character. He will have been mentioned in the diaries of countless children and adults who have been on PGL holidays in the Ardeche over the years. Most characters from folklore spent hundreds of years in folk songs and "word of mouth" stories before they were ever written down and you have plenty of them on this site.

If you doubt how well known Harry Willis is then try asking the hundreds of people who have worked in the Ardeche (for PGL and many of the other holiday companies based there) over the last 30 years. Many of them can be found in the various PGL France and Ardeche veterans groups on Facebook.

If you do not reinstate Harry Willis then you should also delete all other references in Wikipedia to any fictional, mythical or folklore character.

Please, Please, undelete the article on Harry Willis.

Many thanks, O1genie (talk) 09:33, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored this as a contested prod, but I'm also taking it at Afd.
The key difference between Harry Willis and Harry Potter (or the tooth fairy) is real world notability in reliable sources. Harry Willis + Ardèche gets 13 non-wiki hits in Google and none in google scholar. The tooth fairy gets over 4000 hits in google scholar alone.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:36, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Foswiki[edit]

Foswiki started as a fork of TWiki, when the brand owner decided to act more commercial and disputed with the community. Nearly all main project developers decided to continue the work in a new community driven project. This leaded to the creation of Foswiki in 2008. Since then continously new Versions were released, which documents the vitality an maturity of this project.

Release date
1.0.0 09 Jan 2009
1.0.1 24 Feb 2009
1.0.4 19 March 2009
1.0.5 25 March 2009
1.0.6 21 June 2009
1.0.7 20 September 2009
1.0.8 29 November 2009

Furthermore many users of the predecessor TWiki decided to migrate to Foswiki as they expect that the former developers of TWiki will continue their work with the same quality and enthusiasm as they did with TWiki.

So it is not a new software, as stated in the reasons for deletion, but more the continuation of development under a different project name. More information about this can be found here. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Sheets&action=edit&redlink=1[edit]

I'm the manager of The Sheets, a band that has been playing together for 25 years. They were around in the early days of the pop/punk heyday in San Francisco, have been written about in numerous articles, have sued (and won) The Rolling Stones in 1983 ( Joel Selvin of the San Francisco Chronicle did a half page article in "the Pink Pages" of The Chronicle in 1983) after the Rolling Stones blatantly stole the album cover idea to their "Undercover" album. The members of the band are still playing, have played at a recent re-opening of Mabuhay Gardens for a benefit for Ness Aquino (the former owner of Mabuhay Gardens.) I direct you to a few articles on the web that The Sheets have been mentioned in. I further request that the article on The Sheets be reinstated due to the historical nature of this band. The person who deleted this page clearly didn't know what he was talking about, and did little research. File:Salon de locomotion aerienne 1909 Grand Palais Paris.jpg[edit]

I am requesting the undeletion of File:Salon de locomotion aerienne 1909 Grand Palais Paris.jpg which was deleted with this comment "(WP:CSD#F8: now on Commons. Uploaded by Contributions/Per Honor et Gloria, tagged by Ekabhishek.)" I do not think it satisfies the Commons image policy (it may soon be deleted). It may not have sufficient evidence for the English Wikipedia but it seems better to let en: decide using a non-speedy process, and en: probably has different criteria. After it is restored to English Wikipedia and if the community believes it is PD-US, I would like to add a {{Do not move to Commons}} template. Nerissa Montemurro[edit]

This article was deleted because it was seen as advertisement. When I was putting the article together I also put a press release that was for an event Nerissa was holding to help brides plan their own weddings as a community event. I can see that it may have been seen as advertisement but user Nick Wilson said he'd be willing to help me adjust the content to fit Wiki standards.

This is my first article and if I could get this page undeleted and back to my sandbox I would appreciate it very much.

Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Djayku(talkcontribs) 04:10, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will leave this request to another admin to consider, but as the admin who deleted the first version I would be reluctant to restore it for you to work on, because I do not think there is an encyclopedia article here:
  • Even with the obvious press-releases removed it is still advertisement, plainly designed to promote Ms Montemurro's organization and services,
  • Even if it were rewritten in neutral and factual terms, I see no indication that Ms Montemurro or her organisation meet Wikipedia's notability standard - all the references in the article are from her company or organisations hosting her seminar or selling her service,
  • I am concerned that you have a conflict of interest and are editing on behalf of Ms Montemurro, as your only entries have been about her and her company Private Receptions™ LLC. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising medium or even a business listing service, and is not for promotion of any kind.

Tau Alpha Upsilon[edit]

Dear Administrator,

I am an esteemed brother and current rush chair of SUNY Binghamton's oldest fraternity--Tau Alpha Upsilon. As the rush chair, it is my duty to make sure potential rushes/pledges are able to check the legitimacy of the fraternity, which in no doubt is legitimate as seen in SUNY Binghamton's website under the heading Tau Alpha Upsilon (http://www2.binghamton.edu/volunteer/student-service-group.html). As a brother, it is my obligation to plea that you restore our page and bring some respectability back to our brotherhood. If the question in hand about the deletion of the page is about legitimacy, then there is no doubt that the fraternity is legitimate, and since we are only a local fraternity and the only existing chapter and Alpha Chapter, we cannot provide as many sources for the articles posted in the deleted page as most are kept in secrecy within the brothers. Should they be released, it would be impossible for Wikipedia to confirm if the source citation is reliable. This is primarily because the information sent out in the Tau Alpha Upsilon's wikipedia page came from the esteemed brothers of the Tau fraternity, and as such, are considered primary sources. I am begging you to restore our page in wikipedia. The respectability and recognition of our fraternity lies in your hands. Once again, if the question is about the legitimacy of the fraternity, I posted different links below to prove that our fraternity does in fact exist, and since it's the only existing chapter of said fraternity, every information posted on our page will be a Primary Source, and as such, be difficult to find an outside source. For further questions about the legitimacy of our fraternity, Wikipedia is more than welcome to call Binghamton University's President, Lois B. DeFleur. Thank you. Please feel free to contact me either in my Wikipedia account or at 24mariachi@gmail.com

I have restored the article as a contested prod, however it needs some work to avoid being deleted again.
First, read WP:COI. I highly suggest that you take this to heart, as everyone who has a conflict of interest with an article thinks they can make unbiased additions, and almost no one really can.
Next, read WP:N. You said above that not many sources exist for the group (it sounds like the group enjoys a certain amount of secrecy, which makes me question why you want a Wikipedia article for it); unfortunately, that may mean the fraternity doesn't meet the requirements of WP:N. If it doesn't, it could wind up at AfD. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 18:55, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And after striking out in my search for sources to add, I've taken it to AfD myself. You can make any arguments for keeping the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tau Alpha Upsilon. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 18:59, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kairosis[edit]

Kairosis was deleted in circumstances where accepted PhD theses were not appropriate nor High Quality reliable sources. Sourcing policy has changed since mid 2008, and PhD theses available for consultation that have been accepted are RS. The grounds for the deletion of this article being overturned I requested that the deleting administrator reverse their deletion on 4 November 2009. I believe a sufficient amount of time has passed to allow that administrator to respond, and they haven't done so (they're on an extended leave). As such I would like Kairosis undeleted, as the deletion rationale is no longer an element of wikipedia policy. Fifelfoo (talk) 08:13, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since Kairosis was deleted as a result of an AfD discussion, this is not something we can unilaterally overturn here. I see two paths open to you; you can take the matter to WP:DRV or you can request that the article be userfied so you can make changes that address the issues brought up at AfD. (Remembering that if you're relying on the change in what's considered a RS, the article could easily end up at AfD again, so you might need to keep an eye on it.) I deleted some of the post by accident. I am a new member and mistakedly made this error. Please help restore this page. I made the change on the 10th of December 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AshrafNazar (talkcontribs) 16:13, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article itself is not deleted, so this is something you can fix yourself. Go to the page and click on the history tab; there you can see the history of edits. This shows the combined two edits to the page. Since it's just one sentence that was removed, the easiest thing for you to do is to copy it from the diff, then go back to Volley (football), click on the edit tab, and paste it back in. HTH--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:22, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Or better still, don't bother, as the addition was original research which I removed as it is not allowed by our policies. Try to find some reliable sources which state what you want to state, then re-add the material. --John (talk) 16:25, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I obviously haven't had enough caffeine yet. Duh, the edits added material, not deleted as AshrafNazar said. Shutting down browser and getting more tea stat.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:29, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

uBreakiFix[edit]

I'd like to file this request for undeletion of the uBreakiFix Wikipedia page.

This page was created by me, about this particular company. It's purpose is to repair, refurbish, and buy broken iPhones. It originally started in Orlando, Florida and has since opened a new location in South Florida. Originally created as solely to repair iPhones, uBreakiFix has expanded to the video game console and computer hardware/software repair markets as well. With the opening of the company, and it's repair and reuse state, it also significantly decreases E-Waste, or Electronic waste contribution, which is harmful to the earth's atmosphere and is become more problematic since the early 2000 s. It's relevance and importance to the iPhone/Tech world is major, due to the fact that iPhones are being recycled & reused rather than discarded, in a time when almost everybody, (both adults, children and seniors) have or know somebody with an iPhone that has been accidentally broken and told it is "unrepairable" when in fact it's the opposite. I created the Wiki page to inform the Wiki community about the company and how it started, from a home business to a now flourishing store front and online business and to raise awareness of electronic waste management and recycling.

I can also provide legitimate links to both professional and user written reviews of the company.

It was created last night and deleted this morning, with the given reason of "Speedy Deletion; under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia."—Preceding unsigned comment added by Skillzdakid (talkcontribs)

Not done A7 is not a deletion reason we can unilaterally overturn here. Looking at the article, I have to agree with the deletion, and could easily see an G11 deletion also, as the article reads like a press release.
If you believe this did not meet the definition of A7, you can talk to the deleting admin, SchuminWeb (talk · contribs). If you can't come to an understanding with SchuminWeb, you can take it to deletion review. (But talk to SchuminWeb first, because if you don't it will get kicked out of DRV).
You could also make a new version of the article at a subpage of your userpage, such as at User:Skillzdakid/uBreakiFix. This will give you more, but not unlimited, time to make a version that has a better chance of not being deleted. Before moving that version to article space, get some feedback at WP:FEED. I'm not going to offer to move the deleted version to you userspace because it would need such a fundamental rewrite that I honestly think you're better off starting from scratch. Baker's Acres Louisville, MS[edit]

I feel it is important that the article be undeleted because it contains information about a FREE display of holiday lights that many families may be planning to attend, but they are not turned on this year. I searched for information about it online before making the 40-mile trek with my family, and all I found was a news article from 2007 (which I included as a link in the Wikipedia article). I thought if I posted it here, that others looking for it online would discover that the lights are not turned on this year and save themselves a trip. This is a valuable, time, money, and disappointment-saving piece of information not available elsewhere on the web.

It was tagged as being deleted for advertising content, when in reality my intention was the opposite - to save people from going to see something that is not available. I know of no other public, universal venue where people will be able to find this information.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmwgrace (talkcontribs)

Not done I can't find a deleted article at Baker's Acres Louisville, MS or any deleted articles in your contributions.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 19:14, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence LIfecycle Management (ELM)[edit]

I am requesting that Wikipedia please restore this article that was deleted with the following reasons given: ‎ (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement: G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion).

This is not unambiguous advertising. Evidence Lifecycle Management is a process maintained through discussion and contributions via Linked-In group "Evidence Lifecycle Management". Although ELM is mentioned as part of MatterSpace created by WorkProducte, there is NO mention of WorkProducts other than as a reference to ELM. I also listed the Linked-In Group for ELM as well. The article doesn't promote WorkProducts nor Linked-In. "EDRM" is listed in wikipedia, therefore, so should ELM be as well. They are both processes, not products.

I listed both the WorkProducts and Linked-In URLs references but didn't get a chance to fix the references properly before article deletion.

I will fix the references once the article is restored.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Calshamus (talkcontribs)

Not done The copyright infringement of http://www.workproducts.com/company/elm makes restoration a non-starter here. Copyright is a legal issue, and one Wikipedia takes very seriously. Reading Wikipedia:Copyright violations and Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials may be helpful to you.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 19:13, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Rosenzweig (composer)[edit]

I am the original author/contributor of this article. I received no notice that it had been proposed for deletion.

The reasons cited in the PROD are quite incorrect: the composer and conductor has made an impact in the classical music world, and there is indeed independent media coverage about him.

Please restore this article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnabdl (talkcontribs)

Done I have restored the article; I shall notify the editor who placed the PROD, in case he wishes to consider nominating it at WP:Articles for deletion. If he does, you will be notified. JohnCD (talk) 21:15, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of people from Southern Ontario[edit]

The article List of people from Southern Ontario has been deleted by User:Bearcat for reasons unknown. There was no discussion or warning what so ever. The user has recently made several unnecessary revisions and needs to be warned that this is unacceptable. Although that is another issue entirely. PhilthyBear (talk) 10:25, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, I have never made an "unnecessary" revision to anything. And secondly, the list is unnecessary as (a) we already have separate lists for almost every city within the region that's large enough to warrant one, meaning that the vast majority of potential entries for a "Southern Ontario"-wide list merely duplicate other lists anyway, (b) "Southern Ontario" is not a region that people identify with or are identified with either geographically or culturally; it's an artificial construct that exists only in the context of contrasting demographics with another part of the province. People and things in the region are almost exclusively identified as being in Eastern or Central or Southwestern Ontario, or the Greater Toronto Area, and virtually never as being in "Southern Ontario".
Thus, this list can only ever be one of two things: an overly-broad amalgamation of lists that should be defined much more narrowly in the first place, or a duplication of more specific lists that already exist anyway. Or, more accurately, both of those at the same time. Bearcat (talk) 00:16, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Master Saleem[edit]

I am not very familiarized with the procedures of Wikipedia yet since I'm a relatively new user. As far as I could understood, my article on Master Saleem has been deleted due to the "irrelevance" or "lack of importance" of the character.

14:22, 11 December 2009 SchuminWeb (talk | contribs) deleted "Master Saleem" ‎ (Speedy deleted per CSD A7, was an article about a real person that didn't assert the importance or significance of its subject. using TW)

I would like to kindly protest about the deletion of this article. Master Saleem is a well-known singer in India and amongst the indian diaspora around the world. Just a quick look at youtube or google can account for the many of his songs and his broad professional career. Recently he as achieved international recognition due to several songs belonging to some bollywood hit movies, which were also listed in the article. I kindly request you to guide me about how I can improve the accuracy of the article so that it could be accepted. Should I include more references to other websites talking about Master Saleem? Should I include all his albums released?

Media Flint, Inc[edit]

Hello, I had created an article on Media Flint, Inc. yesterday. The article was primarily informational on the company and its products. The article was deleted on account of "unambiguous advertising." My intention was not to advertise Media Flint.

Thank you.

Bubzbeauty[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubzbeauty I wrote this article yesterday and it was deleted for "sounds promotional" How is it promotional? This was my first time creating a Wiki article so I'm not exactly sure 100% of the rules for PROD so please assist me in getting this link back. I can show you 3 other YouTube Celebrity links with the same type/style of information so how is my article invalid? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevjumba http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Phan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panacea81

Some of the information was given personally by Lindy Tsang and she allowed for publication. I can modify the code to fit wiki standards but I need to know what is wrong. Kumaxkun (talk) 13:50, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry that NawlinWiki (talk · contribs)'s deletion summary was a bit confusing to you. Although the article had been prodded, the prod was not expired, and the article was deleted under A7 of our speedy deletion criteria, meaning that there was no claim in the article that Lindy Tsang is important enough to have an encyclopedia article. (The "sounds promotional" comment was just that, a comment, and not the actual deletion reason.)
A7 is not a deletion we can unilaterally overturn here, so you have several options to you. First, you can ask the deleting admin, NawlinWiki (talk · contribs), to overturn it himself. If you don't get anywhere with him, you can take it to deletion review, but be sure to talk to NawlinWiki first because if you don't, it will get kicked out of deletion review. A third option is to have us userfy it to a subpage of your userpage, such as User:Kumaxkun/Bubzbeauty, where you can work on the issues that lead to deletion. (For example, one good thing would be to cut out the overly long list of her youtube videos). Read WP:BIO to get an idea of what the article needs, and when you think it's ready, post a request at WP:FEED to get some feedback on how you've done. Applixware[edit]

I can be contacted via: pwittamore@vistasource.com philip@aposit.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Philip.wittamore (talkcontribs) 14:53, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The article was deleted because it was a copyright violation of the information at the Vistasource website[2]. Since you likely own the copyright to the material used, you could donate it to Wikipedia, but for legal reasons it's important that the steps at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials be followed exactly.
The article as it was also made no claim that the software was notable enough for an encyclopedia article. Read through WP:Notability for some ideas on what the article needs.
Even if you donate the material, there will still be the problem of conflict of interest. Because you are closely associated with the product, it's highly unlikely that you can write an unbiased article about it. The deleted version did read much more like a press release than an encyclopedia article. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Classic Debate[edit]

The article had a good, brief overview of the Classic Debate style, as well as a useful list of previous resolutions and a link to the guide for the form. Reason for deletion appears to be that secondary sources were not cited, but most if not all of the information contained in the article came from the guide linked at the bottom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.42.69.89 (talk) 22:22, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comment -- I've recreated Classic Debate and Classic debate as redirects to Debate#Classical_debate. Once the previous resolution section was deleted (not encyclopedic), there wasn't much more information in the article than was already in the existing section. No prejudice against another admin restoring the previous incarnations of the article.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:30, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TestLink[edit]

I miss a reason why the article was deleted. The project is based on work of volunteers only. No company own or lead the project and that is why no expensive articles are written or paid. So your measurement of the topic importance fails.

I'm a common software tester and also the project core member, not editor or dealer. I have no money from project and also no time for more that a few sentences here or elsewhere.

I wrote "most popular open source test management tool" - is it what is pain in your eyes? You are right. Everybody has different idea what is the best. Show me that I'm not right. There is independent survey (not worthy according you), there are metrics by sourceforge.net or freshmeat (ok. another project should not be on these sites). Which tool is more popular then? I believe that you cannot give better answer. It is missing in review. I don't think that refer metrics have sense for readers. I will remove this term if you don't like it.

I understand that your site should not have expert to all disciplines. But wikipedia lost in my eyes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Havlatm (talkcontribs)

Not done TestLink was deleted as a result of the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TestLink, so it's not an article we can unilaterally restore here.
You have a couple of options open to you. If you think the deletion discussion was closed improperly, you can discuss it with the closing admin, Spartaz (talk · contribs). (Read WP:Notability first so you have a clear understanding of the guidelines involved. Notability has nothing to do with whether people profit from the project. Also take a minute to read WP:COI). If that discussion doesn't lead anywhere, you can take it to deletion review. But discuss it with Spartaz first, because if you don't DRV will kick out your request.
Option two is to rewrite the article as a draft, either as a subpage of your userspace, such as at User"Havlatm/TestLink, or at the article incubator. Be sure to include references that meet the objections raised in the deletion discussion, and get some feedback by posting a request at WP:FEED. Anna_Skamarakas[edit]

Replied to a delete notice during the severe winter storm hitting the NE US. Trying to add the {{hangon}} tag to the page and it is deleted. Individual is a professional travel industry writer, lectured at several events in the US on travel industry topics and has written and illustrated 2 children's books. There is no spam, advertising or other links. All links provided were to an individuals website where no ads apeared, and to a rather well known public company, Disney via its wiki pages. Direct links were to pages showing videos on topics of general interest displaying the individual. If there is a better way to link to a personality in a video, commerical or film, I would gladly redit the entry. I am not a Disney employee, and this was not an auto-biographical entry.

So in this case, we have no ads, no spam, no self promotion, knwon person, published writer and not auto-biographical. Seems it qualifies under every category for an entry I could locate when creating this specific entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Storpappa (talkcontribs)

G11 speedy deletions are not something we unilaterally overturn here. However, looking at the article, I can't say I agree with the deletion, as it was not unambiguous promotion. I could, perhaps, see an A7 speedy deletion, but I wouldn't have deleted it personally on that basis, either.
I'd suggest talking to the deleting admin, Fastily (talk · contribs), and asking for some guidance as to where the problem with the article was. If you can't make any progress there, you can either take it to deletion review (but talk to Fastily first, otherwise DRV will kick out your request), or you can make a new version of the article at User:Storpappa/Anna Skamarakas, and get some feedback by posting a request at WP:FEED. With the program gaining more and more attention these days, I consider a presence in wiki is required. Please revert back and i'll make modifications to it.
