redundant to ~~{{infobox station}}~~ {{infobox rail line}}. it was being used in four articles, before I replaced it with the standard. of course, I can reverse those changes if this tfd closes at keep. Frietjes (talk) 21:52, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Keep but move to {{Infobox OASA line}}: the standard template that you have proposed using is causing the route map to have breaks between stations and I am not convinced that it is appropriate for the Athens Metro lines to have standard templates because of the different script. In addition, MTR has its own infobox template system (see Airport Express (MTR) for an example) and they're doing very well (main template: {{Infobox MTR line}}. If you want to delete {{Infobox Athens Transport}} then you would have to nominate {{Infobox MTR line}} for deletion as well. However, I would move it to {{Infobox OASA line}} anyway, because it will also cover the Athens Proastiakos, and OASA is the Athenian equivalent of TfL in London. --Marianian^(talk) 00:11, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- the problem with the gap in the map can be easily fixed by adjusting the "box_width" parameter. as for MTR line, that would be WP:OTHERSTUFF, which I plan to consider soon (see Infobox Translink (SEQ) train line, Infobox chinese rapid transit, and many more). we should start by addressing the newly created forks.     - Censorship? really? what information in being suppressed? all that is being proposed is that there should be a uniform presentation of information, and we should strive to not fork infoboxes just because we don't personally like the way one looks. if there is an acute need for a custom header, try something like {{Chinese rapid transit header}}. however, there should be a strong reason for deviating from the default.       - The idea of deleting custom rail templates is quite new to me because I developed custom styles for it, so I apologise if I know little about this. If this should happen then we would have to develop a replacement style within the common template... then delete. But I love the idea of replicating the signs on the headers, so let's see what I can produce tonight and then present a prototype. UPDATE: the new prototype is at User:Marianian/Sandbox#Infoboxes for Athens Metro Lines but I think we will need to add "colour on map" to the infobox and then add a switch for UK/US spelling before "graduating" that. --Marianian^(talk) 23:04, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. Surely you mean it can be replaced by {{Infobox rail line}}. This template is used for Athens Metro lines not for stations. Template:List of Astro Channels (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

This template violates WP:NOTDIR; Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a listing service. You don't see any other templates like that (i.e. Template:List of DirecTV channels, do you? Also, WP:articles for deletion/List of AT&T U-verse channels and WP:articles for deletion/List of DirecTV channels (2nd nomination) agree to have mainspace pages deleted.
