This template contains a table that is used in UEFA Champions League, List of European Cup and UEFA Champions League finals and European Cup and UEFA Champions League records and statistics. Keep It makes it more difficult for newcomers to edit, that's true. That includes making it more difficult to edit for newcomers vandalism. That one ist unfortunately frequent in relation with the figures of this table. Furthermore modifying a template doesn't require advanced skills editing wikipedia. Finally, the figures of this table change relative often and ist published on various pages. That's consequently really practical to move this one into a template. In my opinion, contributors will still edit the Template:UEFA Champions League Performance by clubs in the future without problems just as they did in the past. - The figures in this table only changes once a year, doesn't it? We do have templates for e.g. tables that changes a couple of times every week, but I don't see the need when this is updated once a year. Mentoz86 (talk) 14:07, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  - It should change once a year. But this table was a recurrent object of vandalism. It was apparently popular to make little wrong changes (e.g. Liverpool + 2 victories). The table used in UEFA Champions League was usually quickly reverted but it's much more problematic in the statistics articles. With this template, the vandalism is, among other things, easier spotted and reverted. I can't see any avantage to the the deletion of this practical template, if we add {{navbar}} to it. Keep - upon first glances I agreed with the nominator that this was non-notable, however Uncle Scrooge makes fair points. Fails WP:NENAN. Earlier kept as no consensus, but by now it has lost even more links (the very remote related "related articles" that had no real connection with the band, removed by me) . Today, the links to three portals were removed by Robsinden as "Inappropriate use of portal links. These are portals for wider topics. (...)". Now we are left with an unsourced article about the article, two poorly sourced articles about musicians and two musicians without an article. South American Youth Championship is an under-20 competition, and AFC Youth Championship under-19.

Delete: 2013 South American Youth Championship squads, 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship squads are sufficient. South American Youth Championship or UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship has notability. But they takes place biennially, or annually. So a million and one squad templates will be generated. SAFF Championship, WAFF Championship, EAFF Championship (formerly Dynasty Cup), East Asian Games are regional tournament. Indian Ocean Island Games, Summer Universiade, World Military Games are anoymous multi-sport events. International Tournament City of São Paulo, Nehru Cup are friendly competitions only. So they are REALLY anonymous.

The competitions for which these squad navboxes were created is a regional competition only, whereas the general consensus at WP:FOOTY is that national team squad navboxes should only be created for continental or global competitions such as the AFC Asian Cup or the FIFA World Cup.

The above criteria is similar to the regional (such as East Asian Games, SEA Games), minor (such as Arab Games), annonymous multi-sport events, multi-sport events for a certain community (such as Universiade which held for student, Military Games for army...), friendly competitions (such as Nehru Cup) which are not known worldwide. Procedural close for this section - There seems to be confusion between competitions organised by a regional federation one below a large continental federation and random competitions. This section should be split into two and re proposed in order to establish clear consensus. I am not sure how consensus can be achieved about the necessity for navboxes for both regular international tournaments such as the AFF Cup and random competitions like the 2010 International Tournament City of São Paulo in one discussion.
