Wikipedia:Texan Collaboration of the Year

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Every year, a Texan Collaboration of the Year will be picked using this page. This is a specific topic which either has no article or a basic stub page that is directly related to Texas, the aim being to have a featured-standard article by the end of the period, from widespread cooperative editing.

Created June 2005, this wikiproject was active until March 2006, then reactivated from June to October 2006. One collaboration was chosen in 2007. This page was traditionally administered by Katefan0 and JCarriker, but since they are both semi-retired, Johntex is filling in. (Yet another reason to hope Katefan0 and JCarriker come back soon!!) It is currently active in 2013. Please direct questions to either this page's talk or to Johntex' Talk Page. Thanks.

Selecting the next Collaboration of the Year[edit]

A new COTY is selected at any time in February for the year from March to February following, after nominations and voting starting from 1 March of the consideration year. New nominations begin upon confirmed election of a candidate for the year to come, while the current COTY's editing is winding down. Nominations are to be signed. Use ~~~~ or ~~~ at the end of your post for that.

There's no confusing process to it. Just list Texan articles you're interested in expanding below, and we'll find consensus for the next year's collaboration while working on the current one. Standard approval voting should work, for now.
