Welcome to Today's articles for improvement (TAFI)

Each week we identify underdeveloped articles that require improvement. Our goal is to use widespread collaborative editing to improve articles to Good article, Featured article or Featured list quality over a short time frame.

Farm-Fresh group edit.png What do we do?[edit]

Our four main tasks are to:

  • Identify candidate articles
  • Select the order they appear on the community portal in the Today's articles for improvement section
  • Coordinate and collaborate to improve articles
  • Assess and track our accomplishments

Blank user.svg How can you help?[edit]

  • First and foremost, just start editing – help us improve our selected articles!
  • You can also nominate an article for us to work on, or have your say in future selections.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at the Teahouse (a friendly place for new editors), Help desk (questions about how to use or edit Wikipedia), or on our talk page (other questions related to the project).
  • You may join the project by adding your name to the members list, and can sign up for weekly notices.

Nuvola apps kcmsystem.svg Automation and templates[edit]

TAFI makes use of various templates. See the Automation page for details of these, including banners, talk page messages, and user templates. Also listed are the project's bot tasks, currently undertaken by Theo's Little Bot.

AE.svg Assessment[edit]

Like many other WikiProjects, TAFI assess the articles it is involved with. Unlike other projects, we only assess the article's state before and immediately after it's week of collaborative editing – that improvement is one (but not the only) measure of our success. Our assessment criteria and procedure are explained on the Assessment page.

Replacement filing cabinet.svg Archives[edit]

The archives page gives an overview of archived submissions and schedules. For unsuccessful nominations, archived by month, see Unsuccessful nominations for an index. For successfully nominated articles that were not selected to either be scheduled or kept in the holding area, see the Holding area archive. For articles that were scheduled and appeared as "Today's article for improvement", see the Schedule archive.
