Hello there!
Coat of arms of the Soviet Union.svg

Some Wikipedians have formed a Project to better organize information in articles related to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and its Eastern European satellite states. It attempts to coordinate collaborative writing efforts, organize and create standards for making good articles. It endeavours to create a good reference for socialism in un-bias terms. If you want to join, simply help out and add your name to the Participants.

Scope
WikiProject Soviet Union seeks to improve Wikipedia's articles on all aspects of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. This includes coverage of Soviet politicians and state ideology, as well as history and warfare, the Communist Party and the effects of communism in the USSR. It also seeks to improve Wikipedia articles on political and economic subjects that are sorely lacking in analysis of how government policies negatively effect society, using reliably sourced material from Soviet-oriented academics and experts, as well as relevant material published in mainstream sources.
Tasks
Please refer to the talk page for discussions regarding major projects. Click here and here for a list of recent changes to Soviet-related pages.
  • Achieve better categorization of Soviet-related articles
  • Get more Soviet-related articles to GA and FA status
  • Get reliable sources were needed on any socialist related article
  • Create a "Soviet Reliable Sources" page similar to this one or this one.
  • Fill in Portal:Soviet Union.

I also regularly scan sites such as TvRadioWorld.com and also use search engines such as MSN Search to find what I'm looking for.
