Vital articles is a list of subjects for which Wikipedia should have corresponding high-quality articles. It serves as a centralized watchlist to track the status of Wikipedia's most essential articles. Approximately one thousand articles on this page constitute the Level 3 list. A Level 4 list of ten thousand articles is currently under construction.

These symbols are updated manually and may be out of date; you are encouraged to fix any errors you discover.

Of the current 994 articles, 423 are B-Class article B-class, 360 are C-Class article C-class , 104 are Good article Good, 90 are Featured article Featured, and 17 are Start-Class article Start-class.

This list is tailored to the English-language Wikipedia. There is also a list of one thousand articles considered vital to Wikipedias of all languages.
