A WikiOgre or WikiOgress is an editor who for most of the time remains near its cave, quietly making minor edits to articles that it happens to come across as it peruses Wikipedia to satisfy its naturally inquisitive nature. However, when their schedule permits and/or something ignites the passion to edit, WikiOgres (or Ogresses) go on a rampage, extensively overhauling and rewriting articles, or even creating new ones, in brief spats of intensely productive Wikipediholism. Once the urge to edit has run its course, the WikiOgre/ss will return to its cave, once again content with gnawing on random passersby.

Another way for a WikiOgre to identify themself is to display an ogre at the top of the page next to the User's name. The following code should produce a small ogre at the top of the page {{Wikipedia:WikiOgre/topicon}}. To make use of the two optional parameters, the horizontal and vertical positions respectively, the default coordinates are (30, 8).
