The categories below were obtained on 2009-10-13. They are categories that have a Chicago Banner in the talk page, but are not in wp:CHIBOTCATS.

Each audit should test for:

Should the category be in scope for the Chicago Project?

If no, then:

(1) remove the Chicago banner from the talk page and any Chicago category declaration from within the basic page.

(2) Delete the category from the list below.

If Yes then:

(1) Assign to the basic page the category declaration Category:WikiProject Chicago tracking categories or the Category:WikiProject Chicago content categories. If it is to be used by project members it is a tracking category. If it is to be used by reader for navigating and grouping similar articles it is a content category.

(2) If you are not comfortable working with a draft template, just skip this step. If you feel comfortable working with a draft of a template, use User:Pknkly/TempWork02 for tracking categories and User:Pknkly/TempWork03 for content category cmboxes. You will need to edit and customize a little to make the cmbox work well. These should automatically place the Category:WikiProject Chicago content categories category declaration or the Category:WikiProject Chicago tracking categories category declaration into the pages. After you are done, look for them at the bottom. Note: If you are adding the cmbox watch out for not doubling up on the category declrations - you may have already added them in step 1 not knowing you are going to do step 2.

(3) Place the category within the wp:CHIBOTCATS in alphabetical order. Use the format used by other records already in it.

(4) Remove the category from the list below.
