Top if the (person) is known internationally in other than Spanish speaking nations. IE: Catalina Sandino Moreno, Shakira, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc
High if the person is known internationally in more than one Spanish speaking country. IE: Manolo Cardona, Margarita Rosa de Francisco, Ana María Orozco, Carlos Vives
Mid if the person is knwon only in Colombia. IE: María Lucía Fernández, Andrea Serna
Low if the person is known in a certain area of Colombia. Colacho Mendoza

Top if the person is known internationally or currently serving as head of the Judicial branch of power, Congressmen, Presidency, Vice Presidency, Ministries, control institutions. Leaders of political parties and (legal or illegal) political and militia movements. Alvaro Uribe, Juan Manuel Santos, Simon Trinidad
High if the person is known nationally with some impact internationally on and works as head of a Colombian government agency.
Mid if the person is known only in Colombia. Department governors, Asambleas and other judiciary establishment officials.
Low if the person is known in a certain area of Colombia. Mayors, local judiciary, city councils, etc.

Top if the person served as head of state. If the person was a vice presidency, minister, or congressperson of continuous significant importance. Deceased leaders of political parties and (legal or illegal) political and militia movements that remain influential. Ex: Rafael Núñez, Indalecio Liévano, Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, Pablo Escobar.
High if the person was known nationally with some impact internationally and had lasting influence: Vice Presidents, Government Ministers, Ambassadors. If the person was a congressperson, minister, judge, or governors with significant lasting influence. Ex: Juan Germán Roscio, Consuelo Araújo, Ancízar López López.
Mid if the person was known only in Colombia. Ministers, First Ladies, ambassadors. Department governors, judiciary officials or political appointees with some distinction. Ex: Bertha Puga Martínez, José Antonio Murgas, Bernardo Jaramillo Ossa.
Low if the person was known in a certain area of Colombia. Low ranking Governors, congressperson or ministers. Assemblymen, Mayors, local judiciary, city councils, etc. Ex: Manuel Germán Cuello, Pedro Castro Trespalacios, Gilberto Vieira.

Mid if the town meets the corregimiento, vereda or caserio criteria (in large cities; barrios, localities)
Low if it is a location no political status.

Geographical features[edit]

Top if it is a feature (river, mountain, gulf, forest, etc) of great importance. Magdalena River, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Amazon Rainforest.
High if the feature is significant withing a large area of the country. Bogota Savannah, Llanos, Guaviare River.
Mid if the feature is prominent within one department, or if a smaller geographical feature has historical or cultural value. Monserrate, Quita Sueño Bank, Ciénaga de Santa Marta.
Low if it is a geographic feature of little or only local importance. Nevado El Cisne, Cauca Valley dry forests, Azufral.
