Objective

Our goal for the articles within the scope of the project is to:

- Provide a consistent theme for the articles.
- Improve their quality.
- Categorise them in a coherent manner.
- Manage the EU WikiPortal.
Scope

Generally, any EU-related article is considered to be a valid topic for this project; its primary work, however, is concentrated in the following areas of the EU:

- Institutions, activities and policies
- Economy
- Enlargement process
- History and Treaties
As of 21 May 2013, there are 2,090 articles within the scope of WikiProject European Union, of which 3 are featured. This makes up 0.05% of the articles on Wikipedia and 0.05% of featured articles and lists. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 4,846 pages in the project.
