WikiProject Geocaching Newsletter Issue 1 - August 2009
Project news The project was created only a month and a day before the release of this newsletter, and we have made decent progress. The project is being built up, and the infrastructure is being worked on. In time, this Project will be fully functional for helping out Geocaching-related and similar related articles	Some project tips Use the {{WP GEOCACHING INVITE}} template to invite users. It has the chain letter effect and is very powerful for recruiting members. Pass it on. A few moments checking other editors contributions is always appreciated. Don't be shy on using the talk pages. It's where a lot of stuff gets decided. A good point being made can change the content of an encyclopedia depended on by many people. From the Editors Welcome to the inaugural issue of The Geocaching WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this newsletter will help members—especially those who may be unable to keep up with some of the rapid developments that tend to occur—find new things to do within the project that they may wish to participate in. Please consider this issue as a prototype, and don't be afraid to suggest ideas through the main newsletter page, or even contribute yourself. Just ask! Be bold like they wanted us to! -Mobile Snail
Goals of the Month (Prioritized) The Project has got off to a great start but we really need your help to keep it going. Here's a few things you can do: Inviting Users. Our most important task to complete right now is inviting users. Use this template. Categorize Articles using the tagging template. At the time of release, this template was not created. Create Templates. Create any templates you may find useful such as a userbox, etc. Discuss! PLEASE... discuss things about this project. Socializing is good! And, as always, Create Articles! Complete Todo List: Open tasks for WikiProject Geocaching. Edit or discuss these tasks. You may also add a subject if it doesn't appear already. As the project is currently quite small, our more experienced editors are working on the project infrastructure and classifying articles. Your assistance is welcome. If you would prefer to just edit - and why wouldn't you? - we have a large selection of tasks below. Improve to GA: Geocaching. Project: invite members. If you complete one of these tasks, please remove it from the list and add your achievement to the project log.
