Welcome to the assessment department of WikiProject Korea! This department focuses on assessing the quality and importance of Wikipedia's Korea-related articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WikiProject Korea}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Korea-related articles by quality and Category:Korea-related articles by importance, which serves as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist.

[edit] Frequently asked questions

How can I get my article rated?
Please list it in the section for assessment requests below.
Who can assess articles?
Any member of WikiProject Korea is free to add or change the rating of an article.
Why didn't the reviewer leave any comments?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of articles that need to be assessed, we are unable to leave detailed comments in most cases. If you have particular questions, you might ask the person who assessed the article; they will usually be happy to provide you with their reasoning.
What if I don't agree with a rating?
You can list it in the section for assessment requests below, and someone will take a look at it. Alternately, you can ask any member of the project to rate the article again.
Aren't the ratings subjective?
Yes, they are, but it's the best system we've been able to devise; if you have a better idea, please don't hesitate to let us know!

If you have any other questions not listed here, please feel free to ask them on the discussion page for this department. Further information can also be found at the WikiProject Council's article assessment FAQ.

[edit] Requesting an assessment

If you have made significant changes to an article and would like an outside opinion on a new quality rating for it, please feel free to list it below. Please note that an importance rating may not be given in some cases if the reviewer is unfamiliar with the subject.

If you assess an article, please strike it off using <s>Strike-through text</s> so that other editors will not waste time going there too. Thanks!

  1. Kumgangsan- Although it still stub size, it should have been assesed high. I am working for FA in Korean wiki counterpart.Vnvnfls (talk) Added a High-Class importance rating (I think that's what you meant). In terms of quality it's still Start-Class due to it's length and a lack of references. PC78 (talk) 11:28, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
  2. INCA Internet - It is a South Korean software company that doesn't have an assessment yet. aibyou_chan (talk) 10:23, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
  3. Gotjawal forest- It is a very unigue but threatened ecology in Jeju island. Please rate the article. I always welcome your comments on how I can improve this article.Yongchangjang (talk) 15:57, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
  4. Samsung C&T Corporation - I found out if you search Samsung C&T Corporation, it was redirected to Samsung Group which was not quite the same subject. Therfore, I've removed the redirection and created its own page. Kymagnus (talk) 20:01, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
  5. Korean War POWs detained in North Korea - made major edits to the starting article since June 2009. Still needs work but I hope it gets past Start-Class. Please also reassess the NPOV and Essay-like tags. Thanks! Hanhwe.kim (talk) 06:34, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
  6. Children of the Rune - It doesn't look like 'stub' class, at least. Although grammer needs to be worked on, and the Korean clutter can't be helped, it should be at least 'Start' class, I think. However, there are zero refs. It also reads like a game site's 'World and Characters' page. --IspinIm (talk) 01:22, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
  7. Anti-Japanese sentiment in Korea = Although I didn't do anything, it should be more important than '???'. --IspinIm (talk) 01:25, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
  8. Ryongchon disaster - Substantially improved the refs, removed some OR and added external links to photo sets of the explosion site. Could use some more work, but hopefully warrants more than a start class. Bonewah (talk) 19:52, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
  9. G-Dragon - The article has been reedited by several contributors, so was just wondering if it has improved. AhnSoonKyung (talk) 19:01, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
  10. After School - The article has undergone a total revamp since its last scale rating. It would be useful to see whether the article quality has improved or not. + ThermoNuclear 21:59, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
  11. Jeon Min-Hee - Over a period of time, made the article. I believe the importance is low. --Ispin (talk) 04:55, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
  12. Hallyu- Most of the concerns regarding this article have been addressed. It has certainly improved.Oscar0909
  13. List of people of Korean descent -It would be useful to assess this article (list) pinkolive84 (talk)
  14. High Kick! (season 2) - Has been largely re-written for legibility (grammar, spelling) based on existing information. User:Cocoa.gardenia
  15. Korea Train Express has been expanded, updated, thoroughly sourced and totally re-edited over the past four months, but its assessment as C class dates from more than a year ago. --Rontombontom (talk) 21:40, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
  16. Korean Music Awards - I Would Like To Know Whats The Rating Of This Page. A.C - The Kpoper (talk) 13:12 ,11 January 2011 (UTC)
  17. Girls' Generation - I Would Like To Know If This Page Has Been Improved in Quality since March 2010 , It had passed 9 months with alot of re-writing and re-fining in the page . A.C - The Kpoper (talk) 13:21 ,11 January 2011 (UTC)
