Welcome to the Early Modern warfare task force, which covers military history from c. 1500 to c. 1800. If you have any questions about articles or are generally seeking advice, you're encouraged to ask at the main military history talk page, or you can directly approach one of the task force participants below.

The coordinators of the Military history WikiProject can be contacted here.

Scope[edit]

This task force covers the era of military history known as "Early Modern" warfare, which roughly corresponds to the period from c. 1500 to c. 1800. Although this choice of dates is particularly oriented towards European history, other areas are also welcome.

Topics before this range are under the purview of the Medieval warfare task force, while topics immediately after it are covered by the Napoleonic era task force.

Any article related to this task force should be marked by adding Early-Modern-task-force=yes to the {{WPMILHIST}} project banner at the top of its talk page (see the project banner instructions for more details on the exact syntax). This will automatically place it into Category:Early Modern warfare task force articles.
