Talofa! Welcome to WikiProject Samoa! This group was formed to better organize articles on Samoa in a spirit of cooperation. If you want to participate, just add your name to the Participants list below. Happy editing!

Scope[edit]

This group includes within its scope all articles related to Samoa, its cities, geography, transportation, culture, people, language, history and much more. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Samoa in a fair and accurate manner. All of these articles should be contained within the Category:Samoa or one of its subcategories.

Find something from the TO DO SUGGESTIONS below that can be improved, whether content, grammar or formatting, and make it better. You can't break Wikipedia. Anything can be fixed or improved later. So go ahead, edit a page and help make Wikipedia the best information source on the Internet! Or you can start by helping to organise this page and WikiProject Samoa! Every article has a 'Talk' page where you can leave messages for others about WikiProject Samoa. Click the 'Discussion' tab at the top of the page to get to the 'Talk' page for this project. There was some sort of article cull in 2014, which made the project much smaller.

  • {{User WikiProject Samoa}} is a userbox which all members can add to the Talk page of their individual Wikipedian User page.
  • {{WikiProject Samoa}} is this project banner, to be added to the talk pages of all articles which fall within the scope of the project. (this template is yet to be created)
  • {{Samoa-stub}} - Stub notice for Samoa articles; to be placed on the bottom of the article page.

Most of these important articles still need improving to meet the best quality for Wikipedia. Some are still stubs and need expanding.

Images & Media[edit]

We need to add more Images and Media on Samoa in Wikimedia Commons. There are a number of public domain sites online, especially for historical images that are now in public domain or with a Creative Commons licence. Upload images to Commons and expand the database of images for Samoa, or add your own photos if you have some. If you're new, click on the Help section in Wikimedia Commons for tutorials.

Or you can add existing photos in Commons to Samoa articles in Wikipedia to help improve them.
