Project WikiProject St. Louis Cardinals was founded on May 9, 2007 to record, preserve, and organize the history of the St. Louis Cardinals and that of all articles related to the team on Wikipedia. This project follows the guidelines set forth by our parent project, WikiProject Baseball. If you think you can make a positive contribution to the project, please feel free to become a member by joining the list of members. If you're looking for guidance on where to begin, or if you have any ideas or comments, you can address the project's discussion forum. Recent Project News January 19, 2013 - Stan Musial passes away at the age of 92. WikiProject St. Louis Cardinals is deeply saddened by this loss, and express our condolences to Mr. Musial's family. If it's any consolation to our grieving project members, know that our Project's work to get Stan The Man's article to Featured status paid off in the form of helping provide many people with accurate, verified info about Stan. Scope An article falls under our scope if it's about anything directly related to the team from the year 1900 to the present day (i.e. players, managers, playoff series, etc). Our project also recognizes the franchise's history prior to 1900, beginning with the 1882 St. Louis Brown Stockings season. Tasks & Goals Specific Articles Maintain 2013 St. Louis Cardinals season General Tasks Use the {{WikiProject Baseball}} project template to tag talk pages of all Cardinals related articles, rating their quality and importance for our specific project. Check out the WikiProject Baseball template page for an explanation on how to do this. Improve every individual season article of the franchise from 1882 to 2005 Upload free-use pictures of current and former players to Wikimedia Commons[1]. Translate or create Cardinals articles for other languages (such as Spanish). Long Term Goal Improve all Top-importance articles to Featured Article or Featured List status Project Award The Cardinals play the game the right way; fundamentally sound with a high level of integrity, respect for our history, and 100% effort all the time.
