Hello wikifiers,

As a couple of our coordinators have been less active due to school and work, it has fallen to me to welcome you to our October edition of The Wikifier, and hopefully also to our October Wikification Backlog Elimination Drive. For those who have joined the drive or are thinking about participating, I would like to make one correction to the invite sent out to all Project members. While the invite briefly mentioned a new awards system, I failed to link to the correct page. This will be our new awards system, and I would like to give a big thank-you to Swarm for his work in this area. I ask all members and prospective participants to quickly read that page, and familiarize themselves with the newest award. There have been multiple requests over the last few months for some sort of word-count award, and we have implemented that this drive. We ask that you tag, with an asterisk or other note, the article(s) you wish to submit as your largest wikified. Because there are only first and second place, there's not much point in asking us to check more then one or two. We will check the word count of the article before wikfication commenced, and proceed from there.

Within this issue, Kerowyn discuss an upcoming end-of-year award in the Editorial section, and I encourage you to read that.

Happy wikifying,
