This user account is a bot operated by AlexPlank (talk). It is a legitimate alternative account, used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually. The bot is currently inactive but retains the approval of the community. Administrators: if this bot is malfunctioning or causing harm, please block it. |
Wikibot is a bot which uses the code from Rob Hooft's Robbot. It adds, modifies, and standardizes interlanguage links. Operator is Alex Plank.
In addition, Wikibot helps out in the #wikipedia IRC channel. It was created by Alex Plank in November 2003. It has a database made by a PHP script designed by Tim Starling which took the facts from the Wikipedia database. It already has a very large amount of information and will continue to be updated. You can visit Wikibot in the #Wikibot channel of irc.freenode.net. At the last count, Wikibot had 197_636 factoids in his database.
