Wikipedia Takes the Subway is an event organized by Wikimedia New York City. It involves taking photos of the New York City Subway for subway stations articles without photos.

Where[edit]

We meet at the clock.

Wikipedia Takes the Subway will meet at Grand Central Terminal.

We are meeting in front of the four-faced clock on top of the information booth.

When[edit]

Watch this space for future possible changes. And please watchlist this page. Final details will be decided at the New York City Meetup the day before.

Wikipedia Takes the Subway will be held on Monday January 19, 2009. Since it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, most schools will be closed, and some workplaces as well.

We will meet at GCT at 9:00, come back for lunch at 1:00pm, and meet back at 4.

Photography[edit]

Please bring your own camera if you are participating.

Tripods and flash photography are not allowed by the MTA. However a simple string stabilizer can be very effective at improving shots and is very unobtrusive.
