This page seems to be the work of only one user, in 2004. Not saying I disagree with it, but how did this become a guideline without any discussion at all? Wouldn't {{essay}} be more appropriate? – Gurch 17:31, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As the editor in question, I'd have to agree! Not sure why it was called a guideline not an essay, maybe the essay tags didn't exist back then. Andrewa (talk) 09:08, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
