Commons[edit]

This page does not take into account whether the file exists at commons. Is there a way to view a list of pages that includes images that do not exist on either wp or commons? Maybe a bot-generated list? /skagedal... 17:40, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also want to know if it's possible. --Smooth O (talk) 17:07, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree - this SpecialPage seems awfully useless without it... --Varnent (talk) 14:02, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is bugzilla:6220. However, there are (I believe. Haven't looked in depth) some technical difficulties with accomplishing that, so don't hold your breath. In the mean time check out Category:Articles_with_missing_files. Bawolff (talk) 08:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Note that although the false positives (blue strike-through) can be recognized, the total result is limited to 1000 results (see mw:Manual:$wgQueryCacheLimit). Thus one cannot browse through with a large result set. Presently not a single of the many 1000 images missing (which would be a red link) is within reach. The Category is very useful, albeit it does not list by missing file, but by page. --G.Hagedorn (talk) 12:58, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
