Article alerts[edit]

This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here. If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts. Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here. Thanks. — Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 08:53, 15 March, 2009 (UTC)

Leaflet For Wikiproject Brazil At Wikimania 2014[edit]

Hi all,

My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.

One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.

This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:

• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film

• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.

• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.

• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____

• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost

Pleas add information about this country to this articles. --Kaiyr (talk) 17:08, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi everybody! I'm very interested in knowing more about Brazilian culture and history. Could someone please advice me a book or an author to begin with or a must-not-miss? I am referring not only to novels and so on, but also to guidebooks, travel reports and documentaries. Thank you for your help! --Simoncik84 (talk) 09:37, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado da Bahia[edit]

Can anyone help with this article? It has been tagged for notability for over six years, and the Protuguese language article for it gives nothing more. Boleyn (talk) 10:56, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
